How To Maintain Your Humidifier

Your humidifier MUST be serviced at least once per year to provide good service and extend its life. Below are some general tips on what to do. More specific information is available in the on-line owners manual for your specific model. To find your manual locate your brand in the list on the left edge of this page. Click on your brand and then on the page for your brand click on your particular model. You should find a blue button labeled OWNERS MANUAL on that page. Click on that OWNERS MANUAL button and you will be able to download a free copy of your specific owners manual. If you are unable to locate yours email us for a free copy.

1. Turn off the water to the humidifier.

2. Turn off the electricity to the furnace and the humidifier.

3. Disassemble humidifier & wash out the components that are exposed to water.

4. Replace humidifier filter.

5. Reassemble humidifier and turn water and electricity back on to furnace and humidifier.

6. Test operation of humidifier and look for water leaks.
