I ordered the maintenance kit on-line since it was not available at Home Depot or at my local hardware store. In addition, there was an excellent video on-line that showed every step of installation. The kit arrived in a few days and it only took a few minutes to replace the old parts. Great experience!

Very nice instructional video to maintain a system that I did not purchase. It was in the home when I bought the home and the seller did not provide any instruction. The existing drip chamber (I forgot its real name) had lots of "gunk" from our community's water system. The control pad instructed me to replace the drip chamber thing. The website did the rest for me.

Installed humidifer 11 years ago. Had been only changing the water panel, with Aprilaire or third party items. The surface of the water tray had lost it's "grit". I noticed that that was happening slowly over the years. Well the tray could not handle the influx of water. Replacing all the parts that are includeed with "Apriaire 600 Series Maintenance Kit" solved my water on the floor issue. Seems to be working like 11 years ago.

The instructions for the Aprilaire 600 Series Maintenance Kit were very easy to follow. It only took 10 minutes to swap out the old parts and install the new parts. The humidity level in my house is well controlled now that the humidifier is working correctly. My indoor plants and cats are very thankful as well.

I rate the kit "4", but it may deserve a "5" based on ease of installation and overall performance. The filter elements quickly become encrusted with calcium deposits, impeding the effectiveness of the filter. I would prefer a more stable filter material that would tolerate periodic cleansing to maintain a steady level of humidity from my hot air heating system. Any suggestions other than installing a water softener in the supply sysem? Thanks

Just moved to the home and the old parts were in need of replacement, likely for some time. Originally thought to clean them but checked the web site and found replacements instead. The system was resonably priced. Installation was fairly simple although some additional instruction on where to place the plastic tube filter would've been helpful. Ultimately I placed it in the correct location but then thought it was wrong and took it out, turns out the old filter came out with it so then I knew where to place it. I've never used a whole house humidifier and always used stand-alones. Bought a humidity indicator and so far I've not fired up any of the stand alones. We'll see how it does as it gets colder. I should note that my furnace is connected to a wood burner so the fan runs based on plennum temperature and not on house air temp. So...the fan may run more frequently and allow the humidifier to run more frequently too. Thermostat controls the damper on the wood furnace. Like the produce and will use again.

This kit had everything I needed to maintain my Aprilaire humidifier except for the wrenches for the water connection. It is important to have the instructions for your humidifier on hand since there are only limited instructions in the kit. One operation that is not clearly described is replacement of the debris screen in the inlet to the water control valve. You have to somehow snag the old screen out of the valve body, where it is out of sight.

Before I use to have the H/C tech guy come into my home and change my water filter. Until the system started leaking from the filter not setting into the square perfectly. He came out many of times and changed the tubing, saying he didn't know what was wrong with it, the filter would not fit into the system snuggly. To find out he was charging me the original price of a Aprilaire filter for some knock off. This was why it didn't fit, it wasn't the same filter that I started off with. So, I got frustrated with paying the company for trying to find out what was wrong and getting no resolution. So at the convenience of Aprilaire having their products available, I was able to purchase the entire kit and install it myself and guess what..... WHOOOOO! It no longer leaks, refreshes my dry house in the winter, helps with my asthma, and my daughter bloody nose, and my little animals dander. Thank you Aprilaire

A repairman fixing something else broke off the spud on my 600. All I really needed was the spud, but after reading some comments on the web I decided to get the entire maintenance kit. I'm glad I did. The existing hose was brittle, the water filter was a little clogged, and the evaporator was worse than it looked. It's relatively fast and easy to install, instructions are pretty good, and it was a simple task.

I changed complete system - no problems - but when in test mode the change water panel (green) light still comes on. Still no sure if the system is working properly. A small amount on water is now coming thru the discharge tube at the bottom of the water panel. Any help ???

The filter sent for the inlet water hose would not fit since it was too long and touched the inlet auto valve. Directions were not clear what end to connect to the valve and where cut so part of the scrip was missing.
