Product Description
Replacement filter media for your Aprilaire 5000 high efficiency air cleaner. This filter media needs changed twice per year if you have heating and air conditioning and once per year if you have just heating. Should you have special conditions like lots of shedding pets, are located near a farm or other dusty environment or are a commercial application you will need to replace the filter media more often.
The manufacturer is sometimes referred to as April Aire, Aprilair, April Air but is correctly spelled Aprilaire.

I purchased a house that had an Aprilaire system installed. After 4 years of use I decided that the filter media may need changing. I found the site on the net and found the appropriate filter media very quickly and ordered the parts. They arrived very promptly as promised and included the all important instructions on how to change the media on the package. This was important since I had never owned an Aprilaire system before. Overall very happy with the media and with its performance. I will maintain a 6 month change cycle from now on.

The replacement media arrived within the promised delivery time, was an exact replacement for the original and went into the support cabinet with minimal effort. Price of the part was acceptable. Can't ask or expect more than that.

I would offer three comments: 1.) Buy the filters in the 2 Pack. While the initial outlay is higher, there is a discount for the 2 Pack. You will also have a spare when you realize you neglected to change the filter in a timely manner. 2.) Ensure you change the filter outside, in an area that can be easily cleaned, or set down newspaper or a tarp. There will be dust deposited while you replace the filter. 3.) You will likely need to clean the interior and exterior of the housing, exercising caution not to snap the electrode lines.
