part was an exact match, easy to install. Humidifier is working 100% no problems at all.

The feed tube was custom fit for the Model 550 humidifier. However, the instructions on the package stated the feed tube was the "inlet" tube when it was actually the "outlet" tube. The kit also included a plastic "strainer" but, again, it was made for the "inlet" tube and not made for the "outlet" feed tube which came in the kit.

Product arrived in good shape and good time. Is there something that would be more substantial, that might stand the heat a little better? I have replaced the tube three times due to it becoming brittle and cracking. How do you determine the proper size unit? Have never been able to get humidity much below 40-42% All seems to be operating very well. The house Is 4200 SQ. FT. on one level. Our Aprilaire is Mod. No. 550.The evaporator panel has been replaced annually. Thanks, Bob

Had a repair company service the heating system. They replaced the water feed tube with no orfice. Water all over. Nice to buy the proper parts on line. Your web page was acurate and easy to use.

I am not a plummer. It was not a flexible tube from the standpoint that it had to be bent to follow the contour of the Aprilaire unit. It would be much eaiser to have a rubber tube that would more easily bend. I assume that would be more costly but I almost kinked the tube and thought I would break it and it would leak. No problem paying a bit more for a flexible rubber tube.
