I received the upgrade kit in September, 2011 and it is very easy to assemble. The video on the company website on the assembly is very helpful. The quality of the new style filter is a huge improvement over the old style. It takes no time to change the new style filter. I highly recommend everyone to upgrade to the new style.

Packaged very well...shipped immediately after order was entered. Installation was a no brainer. Only additional recommendation is to start filter by first inserting the bottom on the frame, then the top and slide it home. Initial installation including building new frame was about 5 minutes. Filter replacement only should require 1-2 minutes max.

Recently I purchased the Aprilaire 1413 Upgrade Kit & Filter for our air cleaner. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. The kit was very easy to assemble and the illustrated instructions were clear and concise. The new unit slid easily into place and fit perfectly. It used to be a little bit of a struggle to replace the filter in the old assembly. The upgrade makes it so easy. And I like the idea that it will be more efficient at removing pollutants from our home. I received the purchase very quickly and everything promised was included in intact. The upgrade kit and filter were installed the day they were received. It took less than 30 minutes. The new style filter will be a breeze to replace next season. As a side note: I am not impressed with this survey form. Any time you have to ask what country I live in after you ask for my home state is an offense!

We own 2 aprilaire 2400 air filters, one "old style" and one "new style". The upgrade kits were easy to put together and the accompanying installation instructions were very well done with ACCURATE pictures. The new style door required the door liner, while the old style did not, and there was NO confusion as the documentation made it crystal clear.

Just installed- Due to the configuration of my heater it took more time than seen in the video. Also, couldn't find the locking tabs after I had installed framework so didn't complete that step-hopefully that's ok. Otherwise pretty easy. Haven't used yet.
