Replacement pleat spacers to fit Aprilaire Model 2400 and Model 5000. Pleat spacers are the large black plastic devices that look like giant size hair combs. This item never wears out but may break. Each air cleaner takes 6 of these but since you rarely need all 6 we are offering them on an individual basis.
The manufacturer is sometimes referred to as April Aire, Aprilair, April Air but is correctly spelled Aprilaire.

The design of the new Aprilaire 4270 Pleat Spacer is an improvement over my original spacers. I've owned my 4200 series air cleaner for 15 years. Over the years, the lock tangs on the ends have broken off. I finally ordered three (3) new spacers. The new design has been beefed-up (plastic was thickened) to help prevent breakage. I wish I had ordered six (6) spacers to replace all of them.
