The company that maintains my hvac system wanted $325 for the motor and $125 to come out to install it. When I checked on the cost of the motor, I chanced installing it myself. I used the time to show my 5 yo twins how to take the humidifier apart and put it back together and let them help. So I saved over $300 and had quality time with my children. AND it worked first time. One does have to be very careful with the cork pad. You might consider including a pad with the motor.

Removal and installation was quite easy. One must be careful to remove the old cork gasket so it can be used on new motor. The humidifier is working perfectfully again and is QUIET.
